And where could this be more spectacular than in Istanbul? The city on two continents is the perfect stopover before the journey continues to the magical Cappadocia leads.

Istanbul: The bridge between Europe and Asia

Istanbul is a city full of contrasts: Historic palaces meet modern skylines, bustling bazaars meet stylish cafés. The city was once the capital of three empires (Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman) - and you can feel this on every corner.

Highlights in Istanbul:

• Hagia Sophia - Once a church, then a mosque, now a museum: a masterpiece of architecture

• Blue Mosque - with its six minarets one of the most beautiful mosques in the world

• Big bazaar - one of the oldest covered markets with thousands of stalls

Cappadocia: A fairytale land of rocks and hot air balloons

Cappadocia looks as if it is from another world. The landscape is characterized by bizarre rock formations, cave dwellings and underground cities. The best way to experience this breathtaking scenery? From the air, of course - on a ride in a Hot air balloon at dawn!
